A number of long term patterns have started to break down. Many asset classes appear to be acting in an unusual manner. But this may be because we are analyzing markets through the lens of the last 30 years, when inflation was low and steady. Look back further, and some of this unusual activity starts to become familiar. We may, however, need to re-evaluate the recessionary signals from the Yield Curve and the ISM.
