A seasoned economics analyst, Simon Dixon, CEO and founder of BnkToTheFuture, presents his long-term macro thesis and makes the case for Bitcoin as a centerpiece to any portfolio. “Bitcoin to me is an exit from the traditional financial system. It gave people the ability to own their own money, it gave the ability to spend their own money, and it gave people the ability to hold hard digital sound money. So those three trends are really important because we had an incredible amount of legal changes that have ruined the user’s experience of money,” says Dixon. Fiscal largesse, Modern Monetary Theory, Central Bank Digital Currencies… the factors in favor of currency debasement continue to burgeon, and Dixon believes it unlikely that authorities will reverse the course. The traditional investment to curb these forces has always been gold. While Dixon sees gold as a suitable wealth preserver, he believes crypto, particularly Bitcoin, will be a far more lucrative trade once the forces of debasement are thoroughly manifested.
